PHNOM PENH/PARIS, April 9, 2026 — French airport operator VINCI Airports has pledged to continue supporting Cambodia’s aviation development and expand its investment in the country, following talks with Prime Minister Hun Manet, officials said.

The meeting took place on April 8 during Hun Manet’s working visit to France, where he attended the One Health Summit in Lyon and held bilateral engagements in Paris.

VINCI Airports Chief Executive Rémi Maumont de Longevialle expressed appreciation for the Cambodian government’s continued support and highlighted the company’s plans to strengthen cooperation with international airlines to expand direct flight connections to Cambodia.

He said the company would also step up efforts to promote Cambodia’s tourism potential globally, aiming to attract more international visitors.

The executive reaffirmed VINCI Airports’ commitment to working with the government to develop the aviation sector, while exploring new opportunities to expand its business operations and investments in the country.

In response, Hun Manet welcomed the company’s role in supporting Cambodia’s aviation industry and praised its contributions to sector development.

He highlighted the recent launch of Techo International Airport and said the government is working with relevant ministries and private sector partners to enhance Cambodia’s competitiveness, particularly by increasing direct international flight routes.

The prime minister emphasized that expanding direct air connectivity remains a key priority for Cambodia as it seeks to boost tourism and economic growth.

He also encouraged VINCI Airports to continue close coordination with Cambodian authorities to identify new opportunities and further strengthen its presence in the country.

VINCI Airports has been a long-standing partner in Cambodia’s airport operations, playing a key role in managing and developing the country’s aviation infrastructure.
