BANGKOK, April 1, 2026 — Thailand’s Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul is set to present his government’s policy statement to parliament on April 9–10, following the royal endorsement of his cabinet scheduled for April 6.

The three-day interval between the swearing-in and the parliamentary address will allow lawmakers to review the policy framework in advance, officials said.

The policy statement is expected to outline key priorities including energy security, environmental protection, anti-corruption efforts and anti-drug measures, as Thailand positions itself for potential membership in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

The newly endorsed cabinet includes ministers from the Bhumjaithai Party and the Pheu Thai Party, along with independent nominees aligned with the ruling coalition, reflecting a negotiated distribution of portfolios among coalition partners.

Analysts say the upcoming policy address will be closely watched as a key indicator of the government’s direction, particularly on economic reforms and governance standards.

The move marks the next step in Thailand’s political transition following the formation of a coalition government after recent elections.
