BREAKING: Thai Soldiers Expanded Their Artillery attacks into Battambang Province

Battambang, 10 December 2025 — The Ministry of National Defence of the Kingdom of Cambodia has officially reported on the afternoon of  Wednesday 10, 2025 a serious escalation along the Cambodia–Thailand border, following an initiated attack by Thai military forces targeting Cambodia’s sovereign territory and civilian residential areas.

According to the official statement, on 10 December 2025, between 11:15 a.m. and 11:56 a.m., Thai military units fired five artillery shells using 100mm and 105mm mortars into Chakrey Commune, Phnum Proek District, Battambang Province, within Cambodia’s 5th Military Region.

The Cambodian armed forces have responded by standing firm in defensive operations, actively protecting national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the safety of civilians amid the ongoing aggression.

The Ministry of National Defence condemns these hostile actions in the strongest possible terms and affirms that Cambodia remains resolute in its commitment to defend its territory while continuing to monitor the situation with the highest level of vigilance.
