PHNOM PENH, Feb 17, 2026 — Caltex Cambodia on Tuesday reaffirmed that it has no relationship with Thailand’s Bangchak Corporation, clarifying that a recent acquisition involving Chevron does not affect its operations in Cambodia.

In an official statement, the company said Bangchak Corporation’s purchase relates solely to Chevron’s operations in Hong Kong under Chevron Hong Kong and is “completely unrelated” to Chevron’s operations in Cambodia.

“Chevron Cambodia has no relationship with Bangchak or any Thai company,” the statement said.

The company added that fuel supplied to Cambodia is entirely imported from Singapore and that its operations, fuel supply and brand management in Cambodia remain unchanged.

Caltex Cambodia issued the clarification following public reaction to its earlier announcement.

Bangchak, a Thai energy company, recently acquired certain Chevron assets in Hong Kong, prompting questions among consumers in Cambodia about possible links to local Caltex operations.

The company emphasized that Chevron Cambodia operates independently and that there are no changes to its business structure or supply chain in the country.
