(Chanthaburi, Thailand — 21 October 2025):
The Special Meeting of the Joint Boundary Commission (JBC) Retreat between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Kingdom of Thailand officially commenced this morning with the kick-off of the JBC Retreat, 21 October 2025, in Chanthaburi Province, Thailand, with the Thai side hosting the two-day session scheduled for 21–22 October 2025.

The Cambodian delegation is led by H.E. Lam Chea, Minister attached to the Prime Minister and Chair of the Cambodian side of the JBC, and includes senior representatives from relevant ministries and border provinces of Cambodia.

The Thai delegation is headed by H.E. Prasas Prasasvinitchai, Adviser to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Chair of the Thai side of the JBC, accompanied by other senior officials and technical experts.

This special session of the Cambodia–Thailand Joint Boundary Commission focuses on the following key agenda items:

1. Review and follow-up on the outcomes of the 6th JBC Meeting, held in Phnom Penh on 14–15 June 2025;

2. Priority agenda items submitted by the General Border Committee (GBC) during its 1st Special Session in Koh Kong Province on 10 September 2025, particularly the case concerning Chouk Chey Village;

3. Other matters of mutual concern.

The meeting aims to further strengthen bilateral cooperation and advance the peaceful and constructive resolution of boundary-related matters in accordance with the spirit of friendship, mutual respect, and international law.
