Cambodia earns $1.38 billion from tyre exports in 2025 as investment accelerates
PHNOM PENH, Jan 22, 2026 — Cambodia earned more than $1.38 billion from automobile tyre exports in 2025, a 57.86% increase from a year earlier, according to data released by the Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia.
The surge was driven by sustained foreign investment encouraged by government policy, which has attracted major tyre manufacturers to set up production facilities in the country, trade experts said. Cambodia currently operates seven tyre manufacturing plants across Svay Rieng, Preah Sihanouk and Kratie provinces, positioning the country as a growing regional export hub.
The expansion has been supported by Cambodia’s rubber sector, which spans more than 448,000 hectares, with over three-quarters under active tapping, official data showed. Authorities said rubber production, processing and exports continued without disruption throughout 2025, despite regional border tensions, underscoring investor confidence and supply-chain stability.
