PHNOM PENH, March 5, 2026 — Cambodia exported 247,822 tonnes of milled rice in the first two months of 2026, generating about $142.87 million in revenue, according to a report released by the Cambodia Rice Federation.

The shipments were carried out by 55 exporting companies to 51 international markets, reflecting continued demand for Cambodian rice across Asia, Europe and other regions.

Europe remained a major destination, importing 64,134 tonnes worth $46.22 million, while China and Hong Kong purchased 51,384 tonnes valued at $36.31 million, the report said.

Exports to five ASEAN countries totaled 112,142 tonnes, generating $41.89 million, while shipments to 16 other markets, including Africa, the Middle East, the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, reached 20,162 tonnes worth $18.45 million.

Fragrant rice accounted for the largest share of exports at 59.16%, followed by broken rice at 27.68%, while other categories included long-grain white rice, parboiled rice and organic rice.

In addition to milled rice, Cambodia exported 873,880 tonnes of paddy rice, with an estimated value of $196.62 million, the federation said.

Rice remains one of Cambodia’s key agricultural exports and a major source of income for rural communities and the national economy.
