Cambodia Says 83,000 Jobs Available for Returnees From Thailand
PHNOM PENH, Feb 21, 2026 — Cambodia’s Labour Ministry said more than 83,000 job vacancies are currently available nationwide for migrant workers returning from Thailand and other job seekers.
In a statement released this week, the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training said that as of Feb. 20, a total of 83,743 positions were open across the country in the industrial, services and agricultural sectors.
The ministry encouraged returning workers and job seekers to consult its published job bulletins, which include contact details, factory names and sector information, or to contact employers directly.
It also said job seekers, particularly returning migrants, can call a dedicated hotline — 1297 — for assistance in job placement coordination.
Cambodia has seen a large influx of migrant workers returning from Thailand in recent months. The ministry said more than 320,000 returnees have already secured employment through its mechanisms, while tens of thousands of others have found work independently in farms, construction sites, handicraft workshops, restaurants and informal economic activities.
The government has pledged to strengthen reintegration efforts as part of broader labor market and human resource development strategies.
