Cambodia–Singapore trade jumps 89% in 2025, exports surge over 200%
Phnom Penh, 14 January 2026 — Trade between Cambodia and Singapore rose sharply in 2025, reaching $2.34 billion, an increase of nearly 89% from a year earlier, Cambodia’s Ministry of Commerce said on Tuesday.
Cambodia’s exports to Singapore surged 212% to $920 million, while imports from Singapore rose 50.5% to $1.42 billion, the ministry said, up from total bilateral trade of $1.24 billion in 2024.
Cambodian Chamber of Commerce Vice President Lim Heng said the growth was driven in part by Cambodia’s shift toward importing fuel and gas from Singapore after border tensions with Thailand disrupted energy supplies, as well as the sourcing of other goods previously imported from Thailand.
Cambodia also increased exports of agricultural products and garments to Singapore, he said.
Industry officials said Singapore’s demand for food-processing raw materials has boosted imports from Cambodia and other ASEAN countries, while Singaporean investors are exploring opportunities in Cambodia’s food production sector.
Both countries are members of ASEAN and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), which officials say has supported trade growth.
