Cambodia, Vietnam Sign Information Cooperation Plan for 2026-2030
HANOI, June 8, 2026 — Cambodia and Vietnam have taken another step to strengthen bilateral ties after the two countries signed a new Information Cooperation Plan covering the period from 2026 to 2030.
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and Vietnamese Prime Minister Le Minh Hung jointly presided over the signing ceremony in Vietnam on Monday morning. The agreement was signed between Cambodia’s Ministry of Information and Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
According to Prime Minister Hun Manet, the new cooperation plan aims to enhance collaboration between the two countries in the information sector over the next five years, reflecting the continued development of the Cambodia-Vietnam comprehensive partnership.
The signing ceremony took place during Hun Manet’s official visit to Vietnam and underscores ongoing efforts by both governments to expand cooperation across multiple sectors, including information exchange, media collaboration, cultural promotion and people-to-people connectivity.
The agreement is expected to provide a framework for closer coordination between relevant ministries and agencies in both countries while supporting broader bilateral cooperation objectives through 2030.
The latest accord comes as Cambodia and Vietnam continue to deepen political, economic and cultural relations, with both sides emphasizing the importance of maintaining close cooperation for regional stability, development and mutual benefit.
