Cambodia’s January Trade Rises 19% to Over $6 Billion
Phnom Penh, Feb. 10, 2026 — Cambodia’s total trade with international markets reached more than $6 billion in January, up 19.1% from the same month a year earlier, according to a report released by the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia.
The report showed exports in January rose 26.6% year-on-year to $2.92 billion, while imports increased 12.8% to $3.10 billion compared with January 2025.
China remained Cambodia’s largest trading partner, with bilateral trade totaling about $1.90 billion. Cambodia exported $164 million worth of goods to China, while imports from China reached $1.74 billion.
The United States ranked second, with total trade of $1.32 billion, up 48% from a year earlier. Cambodian exports to the U.S. stood at $1.28 billion, while imports from the United States totaled $38 million.
Trade with other key partners, including Vietnam, Japan, Canada, Spain, Indonesia and the United Kingdom, also recorded solid growth, the customs report said.
