Family Demands Justice for Chinese Man Killed in Sattahip
SATTAHIP, Thailand, Aug. 18, 2026 — The family of a 20-year-old Chinese man who was allegedly stabbed to death in Sattahip has arrived in Thailand to demand justice and call for a thorough investigation into his death.
The victim, identified as Cao Ke, was found fatally stabbed inside a hotel room in Sattahip on Aug. 8. Authorities have been investigating allegations that he was attacked by the Thai boyfriend of a 21-year-old woman who was in the room.
The victim’s father and other relatives gathered outside Pattaya Provincial Court, holding signs urging Thai authorities to prioritise the safety of foreign visitors and conduct a full investigation into the case.
The family said Cao had dinner with friends before travelling to meet the woman at the hotel after midnight, following several phone calls between them.
The relatives said their suspicions about the woman increased after they discovered that she had deleted her social media accounts shortly after the incident.
Thai authorities are continuing to gather evidence, including reviewing mobile phone data, as investigators seek to establish what happened before and during the stabbing.

No charges have been filed against the woman, and her alleged involvement has not been established. The investigation remains ongoing.
The case has drawn attention from Cao’s family, who are calling on Thai authorities to ensure that all circumstances surrounding his death are fully examined and that those responsible are held accountable.
