Hun Sen, Zelenskiy Review Cooperation Ahead of 35th Diplomatic Anniversary
PHNOM PENH, Feb 27, 2026 — Cambodia’s acting Head of State Hun Sen held a telephone conversation on Friday with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, discussing bilateral cooperation and developments in their respective countries.
The call took place at Hun Sen’s residence in Ta Khmao on Friday afternoon, according to a statement released by Cambodian authorities.
During the discussion, the two leaders exchanged views on national situations and explored areas of mutual interest, including preparations for the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Cambodia and Ukraine in 2027. The two countries established diplomatic ties in 1992.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation across various sectors of shared interest.
