BANGKOK, Jan 16 (Khaosod) — Thai narcotics police have arrested a Taiwanese national in Bangkok described by authorities as a key mastermind behind a transnational drug trafficking network.

Police said the suspect was linked to shipments of narcotics concealed inside carpets and industrial equipment, allegedly prepared for export. Suspected drugs were seized during the operation, though officials did not disclose quantities or destinations.

Investigators said the network operated across borders and that further arrests were possible as inquiries continue. The suspect remains in custody pending legal proceedings.
