Phnom Penh, 8 January 2026 — The National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) has officially announced the suspension of all banking operations of Prince Bank Plc., including the acceptance of deposits and the issuance of new loans, in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

According to the NBC’s official notification received on 8 January 2026, Prince Bank Plc. has been placed under legal liquidation. NBC has appointed Morison Kak MKA Audit-Accounting Co., Ltd. as the court-designated liquidator to oversee and administer the liquidation process.

As a result of this decision, Prince Bank Plc. is no longer authorized to provide new banking services, including deposit-taking and credit facilities. From the date of the announcement onward, the appointed liquidator assumes full authority over the management, administration, operations, and assets of Prince Bank Plc.

NBC emphasized that depositors may continue to withdraw their funds as usual, subject to the preparation of required documentation. Withdrawals will be processed in accordance with priority arrangements stipulated under the Law on Banking and Financial Institutions.

At the same time, borrowers of Prince Bank Plc. are required to continue fulfilling their repayment obligations in the normal course, in line with existing contractual agreements.

NBC, in coordination with relevant ministries and institutions, will continue to closely and rigorously monitor the liquidation process to ensure the protection of depositors’ interests and safeguard the rights of all affected customers.
