Singapore, Cambodia Agree to Boost Cooperation in Food Security, Renewable Energy and Digital Economy
SINGAPORE, March 11, 2026 — Singapore and Cambodia agreed to deepen cooperation in areas including food security, renewable energy and the digital economy, Singapore’s foreign minister said after meeting Cambodia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn on Wednesday.
Singapore Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan said in a social media post that the talks built on the momentum of last year’s 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two Southeast Asian countries.
“Our partnership continues to grow,” Balakrishnan said after meeting Prak Sokhonn during the Cambodian minister’s visit to Singapore.
The two officials also discussed regional developments, including the situation along the Cambodia–Thailand border.
Balakrishnan said Singapore hopes both ASEAN member states can build on the current ceasefire and resolve their differences peacefully through dialogue and negotiations.
