Singapore urges ASEAN-led dialogue on Cambodia–Thailand border
CEBU, Jan 29, 2026 — Singapore’s Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan said on Thursday that he met with Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn to discuss regional developments, including the situation along the Cambodia–Thailand border.
In a statement posted on his official Facebook page, Balakrishnan said he hoped peace would prevail and that the issue could be resolved through dialogue and ASEAN-led mechanisms.
Singapore has consistently supported peaceful dispute resolution and regional stability through ASEAN frameworks.
