Thai election body trains parties to use Facebook properly
Thailand’s Election Commission has held training sessions with Meta and Facebook to guide political parties and candidates on using social media in compliance with election law ahead of upcoming polls.
Election officials said the commission’s online monitoring unit has already received dozens of complaints over digital campaigning, warning that violations can be traced if conducted inside Thailand. The initiative comes as the country prepares for a parliamentary election and a referendum scheduled for Feb. 8, 2026.
