BANGKOK, June 12, 2026 — Thailand’s Bureau of the Royal Household has announced the passing of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati at the age of 47.

Princess Bajrakitiyabha was the eldest daughter of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsawali Krom Muen Suddhanarinatha. She was also the first grandchild of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great (Rama IX) and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother.

Throughout her life, the Princess carried out numerous royal duties dedicated to serving the Thai people, with particular focus on legal affairs, international relations, diplomacy, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.

Educated in both Thailand and overseas, Princess Bajrakitiyabha earned qualifications in law and developed extensive expertise in legal and international affairs. Her academic background and professional experience enabled her to play an important role in representing Thailand on both national and international stages.

The Princess was widely respected for her contributions as a diplomat and public servant. Her commitment to public welfare, combined with her leadership, knowledge and dedication, earned admiration from both Thai citizens and the international community.
