Thai Police Seize 4.4 Million Meth Pills in Bangkok Drug Bust
Bangkok, Feb. 12, 2026 — Thai police have arrested a suspected major methamphetamine distributor in Bangkok’s Nong Chok district, seizing more than 4.4 million meth pills in one of the capital’s largest recent drug busts, authorities said.
Metropolitan Police Bureau officers detained a 29-year-old man identified as Pongsa-thorn “Fa” Pooma following surveillance at a house in Khu Fang Nuea subdistrict on Feb. 9, police said at a briefing.
Officers recovered 4,488,000 methamphetamine pills and a mobile phone from the property.
Investigators said the arrest followed a tip-off that large quantities of meth were being stored at the house and distributed by leaving packages along roadsides near Khlong Sip canal for pickup.
The suspect allegedly confessed to guarding and delivering the drugs on instructions received via the LINE messaging app, for which he was paid 50,000 baht ($1,400) per delivery. He said he was recruited by a man known only as “Bom.”
Police said Pongsa-thorn had a prior drug-related arrest and has been handed over to the Narcotics Suppression Bureau as authorities pursue other members of the network.
