Tourists warned against fake Thailand arrival card websites

BANGKOK, March 30, 2026 —Foreign travelers to Thailand are being warned about fraudulent websites charging fees for the country’s digital arrival card, Bangkok Post reports.

The system, known as the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), is mandatory for all visitors and replaces the old paper-based TM.6 form. However, authorities stress that registration is completely free and only available through official immigration channels.

According to the Immigration Bureau, some travelers have been misled into using unofficial websites that charge between 20 and 90 US dollars for the service.

Officials warn that these sites are not linked to the government and may misuse personal data, potentially exposing users to scams or identity theft.

Travelers are advised to register at least three days before arrival via the official platform to avoid delays and unnecessary costs.
