U.S. and Cambodia launch new Strategic Trade Management initiative
Phnom Penh, October 1, 2025 – The U.S. Embassy in Phnom Penh announced the launch of a new joint initiative on Strategic Trade Management, marking an important step in strengthening cooperation between the United States and Cambodia.
The initiative was inaugurated with the participation of H.E. Deputy Prime Minister Tea Seiha, in his capacity as head of Cambodia’s National Authority for the Prohibition of Chemical, Nuclear, Biological, and Radiological Weapons, alongside the U.S. Export Control and Related Border Security (EXBS) Program.
According to the Embassy, the partnership will bolster Cambodia’s border security against the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, while also supporting sustainable economic growth.
“The United States is proud to work hand in hand with Cambodia to advance Strategic Trade Management, making both our countries more secure,” the Embassy underlined.
