US Navy Warship to Dock at Ream Naval Port This Weekend
PHNOM PENH, Jan 22, 2026 — A United States Navy warship will dock at Cambodia’s Ream Naval Port this weekend, marking the first visit by a US naval vessel to Cambodia in 2026, Cambodian authorities said on Thursday.
The USS Cincinnati (LCS-20) is scheduled to arrive on Jan 24 and remain at the port for five days, until Jan 28, carrying approximately 100 crew members. The vessel, weighing about 3,000 tonnes and measuring nearly 130 metres in length, is equipped to operate a helicopter.
The port call will coincide with an official visit to Cambodia by US Indo-Pacific Command chief Admiral Samuel Paparo, who is expected to pay courtesy calls on senior Cambodian leaders and preside over the opening of joint naval training activities between Cambodian and US naval forces.
Cambodian officials said the visit reflects continued defence engagement and professional military cooperation between the two countries.
The USS Cincinnati, commanded by Commander Andrew J. Recame, is the third foreign naval vessel to dock at Ream Port since its modernisation and official reopening in 2025, following earlier port calls by ships from Japan and Vietnam.
