Vietnamese women represented the largest share of foreign wives marrying South Korean men, accounting for 25.3% of the total.

Chinese women ranked second at 15.1%, followed by Thai women at 9.2%.

The figures cover marriages between South Korean men and foreign women but do not indicate where couples met or where they live after marriage.

Multicultural Marriages Fall Slightly

South Korea recorded 21,399 multicultural marriages in 2025, including marriages between South Korean women and foreign men.
