PATTAYA, November 6, 2026 — Thai police have arrested eight suspects, including three Chinese nationals and five Thais, during a raid on a condominium in central Pattaya over alleged links to a cross-border online scam network associated with losses exceeding 100 million baht.

The operation took place at The Trust Condominium Pattaya Central under a search warrant issued by Pattaya Provincial Court. It was led by officers from Provincial Police Region 2’s Anti-Cyber Scam Centre.

Police seized 22 bank passbooks, 35 ATM cards, 28 SIM cards, 19 mobile phones and three laptops. Officers also found 2.71 grammes of crystal methamphetamine, commonly known as ice.

Investigators allege that the suspects were involved in buying and selling bank accounts and ATM cards used to receive and transfer money from suspected fraud activities across Thailand.

Police said funds from the alleged scams may have been converted into digital assets and transferred through multiple wallets and platforms, including Binance, Bitkub, Maxbit and imToken, in an apparent attempt to conceal the movement of money.

Authorities are continuing their investigation to identify other people potentially connected to the network.

The eight suspects have initially been charged with jointly procuring, opening or allowing others to use bank deposit accounts for criminal purposes. They also face charges relating to possession and use of crystal methamphetamine.

The suspects were handed over to investigators at Pattaya City Police Station for further legal proceedings.
