BREAKING: Sihasak Confirms Impending Release of 18 Cambodian Prisoners of War on November 12
At 06:25 hrs. on November 7, at Airfield 2, Wing 6, Don Mueang, Mr. Sihasak Puangketkeow, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, gave an interview regarding reports about the planned release of 18 Cambodian soldiers.
He stated that he understands the release is planned for November 12, but this needs confirmation from the military side again. He stressed that the release is in accordance with the conditions set by the Thai authorities, which involve the removal of heavy weaponry and the opening of the area for Thai access to clear landmines.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs also confirmed that there were no exchanges or foreign pressures involved. Regarding reports that the release might be linked to the issue of tariffs on Thai imports, Mr. Sihasak denied any connection.
