Air Cambodia completes inaugural flight at new Phnom Penh Techo international airport

AKP Phnom Penh, September 05, 2925 — Air Cambodia, the national flag carrier, successfully completed its first commercial passenger flight to the new Techo International Airport (KTI) on Thursday, Sept. 4, 2025.

The milestone flight, operated by an Airbus A-320, demonstrated the airline’s technical and operational readiness, from ground handling to in-flight services. This initial operation marks a significant step for Cambodia’s civil aviation sector as it prepares for the full launch of the new airport.

The Techo International Airport, the country’s largest​ airport, is set for its official inauguration on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2025.

With this successful launch, Air Cambodia reaffirms its role in enhancing the nation’s air travel infrastructure and its commitment to contributing to Cambodia’s economic growth and tourism development.
