Prime Minister Hun Manet today reassured the Cambodian people of the government’s unwavering support for its frontline armed forces, addressing recent concerns that they were being neglected.

In a friendly and direct post on his official Facebook page this afternoon, the Prime Minister clarified that government support for the troops is constant and comprehensive, even if it isn’t always in the public eye. He explained that the lack of media coverage about official support missions shouldn’t be mistaken for a lack of action.

“The government has never abandoned its responsibility toward our heroic soldiers, national police officers, and citizens living in affected areas,” Prime Minister Hun Manet wrote. He kindly asked for public understanding, adding, “Ministries and state institutions do not always record or publish reports on every effort… This may have led to misunderstandings that the government has not been attentive.”

The Prime Minister emphasized that this commitment to care extends far beyond the front lines, covering the well-being of all armed forces and citizens across the nation.

In a heartfelt conclusion, he expressed deep gratitude for the patriotic spirit of the Cambodian people who have generously contributed to the troops.

“I would like to sincerely thank all Cambodians who, out of love for the nation, have supported our troops with food, supplies, and resources, in addition to what the government has already provided,” he said.
