No orders for frontline troop withdrawal following ceasefire talks PM Hun Manet of Cambodia

Prime Minister Hun Manet has clarified that no orders were issued for the withdrawal of frontline troops from either side following ceasefire negotiations related to the border issue.

Speaking through his official social media account on Tuesday afternoon, the Prime Minister addressed four key public concerns that have recently circulated on social media. He noted that certain misleading claims and questions had created confusion, with some individuals even exploiting the matter for political gain.

Responding specifically to the question of whether the Royal Government had instructed frontline troops to retreat after the ceasefire agreement, Hun Manet stated unequivocally: “The short answer is no.”

He further stressed that the government did not issue any directive for troop withdrawal after the ceasefire, nor did the ceasefire negotiations impose any condition requiring forces from either side to abandon their positions.
