SINGAPORE, Feb. 3, 2026 — Boeing and Air Cambodia on Tuesday announced the Cambodian carrier’s largest-ever single-aisle aircraft order, committing to 10 Boeing 737-8 MAX jets with options for 10 more, in a deal unveiled at the Singapore Airshow.

The agreement marks Air Cambodia’s first purchase of Boeing aircraft and makes the 737 MAX the first Boeing jet type to be operated by a Cambodian airline, according to the companies.

The firm order, finalised in December 2025 but previously undisclosed, will support Air Cambodia’s fleet renewal and network expansion across North and Southeast Asia, as regional air travel demand continues to grow.

Air Cambodia said the fuel-efficient 737-8 would enable the launch of new direct routes, lower operating costs and emissions, and support job creation and training in Cambodia. Boeing said the deal underscores strong long-term growth prospects for aviation in Southeast Asia, where demand is expected to be dominated by single-aisle jets over the next two decades.
