Russian Navy Ships to Dock in Sihanoukville for Four-Day Visit
PHNOM PENH, April 4, 2026 — Three warships from Russia’s navy will arrive in Cambodia for a four-day goodwill visit, in a move aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing military cooperation.
The vessels — Sovershennyy, Rezkiy and Pechenga — are scheduled to dock at the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port from April 5 to 8, according to an official from the Ream Naval Base.
The visit is intended to promote solidarity, friendship and cooperation between Cambodia and Russia, with a focus on strengthening exchanges between the two countries’ naval forces.
During their stay, the Russian delegation is expected to hold courtesy meetings with Cambodian defence officials, including leaders from the Ministry of National Defence, as well as local authorities in Preah Sihanouk province.
Planned activities also include friendly sports events between Cambodian and Russian naval personnel, aimed at fostering mutual understanding.
Cambodia has been expanding defence engagement with international partners in recent years, with naval visits seen as part of broader efforts to enhance military cooperation and diplomacy.
