PURSAT, 6 August 2026 — Cambodia is set to establish its largest dairy farm to date under a US$68 million investment project spanning 1,000 hectares in Pursat province, marking one of the country’s biggest investments in the dairy and agri-processing sector.

The project, named Farm Fresh Pursat, was officially announced on Aug. 5 through a partnership between Cambodia’s SONAVITH Co., Ltd., Malaysia’s leading dairy producer Farm Fresh Berhad, and Alpha Group.

Located in Veal Veng district, the project will develop a large-scale international-standard dairy farm alongside a domestic milk processing plant, aiming to strengthen Cambodia’s dairy industry and reduce reliance on imported dairy products.

Pursat Governor Khoy Rida said the investment would create Cambodia’s largest dairy farm and generate significant employment opportunities for local communities while representing a milestone for both the province and the country’s agricultural sector.

SONAVITH Chairwoman Sok Chansona attributed the project’s realization to close cooperation between the Cambodian government and private investors, highlighting the support provided by national and provincial authorities in facilitating investment.

Meanwhile, Loi Tuan Ee, a representative of Farm Fresh Berhad, said the investment would not only expand the company’s regional operations but also raise Cambodia’s profile as an emerging destination for modern agricultural investment in Southeast Asia.

The US$68 million project is expected to support local economic growth, create skilled jobs and advance Cambodia’s agro-industrial development by introducing international-standard dairy farming and milk processing facilities.
