SIEM REAP, 2 September 2026 — Cambodia generated more than US$22.5 million in revenue from ticket sales to the Angkor Archaeological Park during the first eight months of 2026, despite a significant decline in international visitor numbers compared with the same period last year.

According to a report from Angkor Enterprise, a total of 474,993 international tourists purchased tickets to visit Angkor from January through August 2026, generating US$22.55 million in revenue.

The revenue represented a 27.43% decline year-on-year, while the number of international visitors fell by 29.07% compared with the first eight months of 2025.

Despite the decline, the Angkor ticket operation continues to generate substantial tourism-related revenue.
