Cambodia Expresses Profound Appreciation for Serbia’s USD 500,000 Humanitarian Assistance

Phnom Penh, 5 January 2026 — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia has expressed its profound appreciation to the Government of the Republic of Serbia for its generous humanitarian financial assistance in the amount of USD 500,000, extended to support the people of Cambodia.

In an official press release, the Ministry stated that this timely contribution stands as a clear demonstration of the solidarity, goodwill, and compassion shown by the Government and people of the Republic of Serbia toward Cambodia. The assistance, provided under the leadership of the President and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, underscores the depth of mutual respect and friendship between the two countries.

The Royal Government of Cambodia emphasized that Serbia’s humanitarian support reflects the enduring traditional bonds of friendship and cooperation that have united Cambodia and Serbia for nearly seven decades. These long-standing relations continue to serve as a strong foundation for constructive bilateral engagement and mutual support.

The Ministry further reaffirmed Cambodia’s high regard for its cordial and longstanding relations with the Republic of Serbia and reiterated its firm commitment to working closely with the Serbian side to further strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation across areas of mutual interest, for the shared benefit and well-being of both peoples.
