PHNOM PENH, Feb 22, 2026 — Cambodia’s economy is projected to grow by 5% in 2026, with gross domestic product (GDP) expected to reach $53.79 billion, up from $51 billion in 2025, the Ministry of Economy and Finance said.

GDP per capita is forecast to rise to $3,020 in 2026 from $2,812 a year earlier, according to the ministry’s latest outlook.

Despite the projected expansion, Cambodia remains the seventh-largest economy among the 11 member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in terms of size.

However, in growth terms, Cambodia is expected to rank second-fastest in ASEAN, behind Vietnam, based on annual expansion rates, the ministry said.

The government has in recent years emphasized economic diversification, investment attraction and labor market reforms to sustain growth momentum amid global uncertainties.
