HANOI, June 9, 2026 — Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet held an informal discussion with Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul on Tuesday morning in Vietnam ahead of the opening ceremony of the 3rd ASEAN Future Forum.

The meeting was disclosed by Prime Minister Hun Manet through a post on his official social media platform while attending the regional forum in Hanoi.

According to the brief statement, the two leaders met informally before joining the opening ceremony of the ASEAN Future Forum, a regional platform that brings together leaders, policymakers and experts to discuss ASEAN’s future development and regional cooperation.

The discussion took place at a time when Cambodia and Thailand are managing several bilateral issues, including border and maritime matters. Both governments have repeatedly expressed their commitment to resolving outstanding issues through peaceful means and existing diplomatic mechanisms.

Prime Minister Hun Manet is in Vietnam for an official visit and to participate in the 3rd ASEAN Future Forum, which is being held in Hanoi on June 8-9. During the visit, he has also held bilateral meetings with Vietnamese leaders and witnessed the signing of several cooperation agreements between the two countries.
