Foreigner Found Dead After Fall From Sukhumvit Hotel
BANGKOK, April 30, 2026 — A foreign man has died after falling from a hotel in central Bangkok, with police investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, authorities said.
The man was found dead on the ground floor of an 18-storey building in Sukhumvit Soi 11 on Wednesday evening after reportedly falling from the rooftop.
Police, forensic officers and rescue workers responded to the scene, where the victim was found with severe injuries consistent with a high-impact fall.
Authorities said a knife was discovered near the body and has been collected for examination as part of the investigation. It remains unclear whether the item is connected to the incident.
Witnesses reported hearing a loud noise before discovering the man had struck part of the building structure during the fall.
Police said they are reviewing CCTV footage from multiple areas of the hotel, including corridors and the rooftop, to trace the man’s movements prior to the incident.
Investigators have not ruled out any possibilities, including accident, suicide or foul play.
The body has been sent to Chulalongkorn Hospital for a post-mortem examination, while officials are working to confirm the man’s identity and notify his family.
Authorities have urged the public to avoid speculation as investigations continue.
