Phnom Penh, Feb. 15, 2026 — Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet has extended Lunar New Year greetings to Chinese Premier Li Qiang, reaffirming Phnom Penh’s commitment to strengthening its comprehensive strategic partnership with Beijing.

In a letter dated Feb. 15 marking the 2026 Chinese Lunar New Year, the Year of the Horse, Hun Manet said Cambodia remains firmly committed to what he described as an “ironclad friendship” with China.

He emphasized deepening cooperation under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and advancing the “Diamond Cooperation” framework, while promoting an “all-weather Cambodia–China Community with a Shared Future.”

Hun Manet said bilateral relations have expanded across political, economic, cultural and people-to-people domains, generating mutually beneficial outcomes for both countries.

China is Cambodia’s largest trading partner and a key investor and development partner, with cooperation spanning infrastructure, energy, trade and security sectors.
