Miss Planet International Contestants Visit Angkor Wat in Cambodia
SIEM REAP, March 11, 2026 — Contestants from 35 countries participating in the Miss Planet International 2025 pageant visited Cambodia’s iconic Angkor Wat temple complex on Tuesday as part of cultural activities during the international event.
The delegates toured the historic site in Siem Reap province, one of the world’s most renowned cultural and archaeological destinations and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Built in the 12th century during the reign of King Suryavarman II, Angkor Wat was originally dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu and remains Cambodia’s national symbol and a major tourist attraction.
The Miss Planet International 2025 competition, now in its fifth edition, is being hosted in Cambodia from March 7 to March 17, bringing together contestants from countries across Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas.
Organizers say the global pageant promotes environmental awareness, cultural diversity and women’s empowerment.
Cambodian officials say the event also helps showcase the country’s cultural heritage and tourism potential, while promoting Cambodia as a safe and peaceful travel destination for international visitors.
