PATTAYA, May 2, 2026 — A US national wanted for alleged involvement in a transnational drug trafficking network has been arrested in Pattaya following a joint operation between Thai authorities and the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), officials said.

The suspect, identified only as Stanislav, 34, was detained at a condominium in central Pattaya on Friday evening after authorities tracked his movements through coordinated intelligence and surveillance.

Thai immigration and narcotics officers said the arrest was carried out with support from US counterparts, who had previously dismantled a wider drug network and traced links back to the suspect in Thailand.

Investigators allege that Stanislav played a coordinating role in the network, working with associates to procure methamphetamine and cocaine for shipment from Thailand to the United States in late 2025.

During the raid, officers recovered syringes and a substance later identified as a hormone stimulant, not an illegal drug.

Authorities confirmed the suspect is subject to an arrest warrant in the United States and will face extradition proceedings.

Following his arrest, his visa was revoked and he was placed on an immigration blacklist. He is currently being held in custody pending deportation.

Officials said the case underscores ongoing international cooperation in tackling cross-border narcotics trafficking, with further investigations into related individuals continuing.
