38-Year-Old Woman Found Dead Outside Phuket Hotel
PHUKET, June 12, 2026 — Police in Phuket are investigating the death of a 38-year-old woman who was found dead on a public walkway near a hotel in Patong early Thursday morning after an apparent fall from height.
Officers from Patong Police Station were alerted to the incident at approximately 6:42 a.m. after receiving reports of an unconscious woman lying beside a hotel in Patong, Kathu district. Senior police officers, medical personnel from Patong Hospital and rescue workers from the Phuket Kusoldharm Foundation were dispatched to the scene.
The victim, identified only as Ms. A, was a resident of Udon Thani province. Authorities found her lying face down on the walkway, dressed in a white shirt and white trousers.
A witness who discovered the body said the extent of the woman’s injuries initially made it difficult to determine whether she was Thai or foreign. The witness subsequently contacted emergency services through the national police and medical emergency hotlines.
Preliminary investigations suggest the woman may have fallen from a significant height. Police noted damage to a nearby building, including a broken satellite dish attached to a restaurant structure, which investigators believe may be connected to the incident.
Authorities cordoned off the area to preserve evidence while forensic officers documented the scene and collected material for further examination.
Investigators have not yet determined where the woman fell from or the circumstances leading to her death. Police are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby buildings and conducting forensic examinations as part of the ongoing investigation.
Officials said further inquiries will be carried out before any conclusions are reached regarding the cause and manner of death.
Authorities have urged anyone with relevant information to contact investigators as efforts continue to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
