Armed Gang Storms Luxury Home in Pattaya, Steals Nearly 30M Baht in Cash, Rolexes and Crypto
CHON BURI, October 7, 2026 — Police in Chon Buri are searching for three armed men who allegedly broke into a luxury-home estate in Nong Prue, Bang Lamung, and robbed a foreign resident of cash, Rolex watches and cryptocurrency worth nearly 30 million baht.
The robbery took place at around 3:30am on October 6, according to the initial police account. Local media have reported that the victim is Turkish, although police have not publicly confirmed his nationality.
After escaping from the house, the victim reported the incident at Nong Prue Police Station.

Suspects allegedly threatened victim with gun
Police said the three suspects used a ladder to enter the property before making their way to the victim’s bedroom.
They allegedly kicked down the bedroom door, pointed a firearm at the victim, restrained his hands and demanded valuables as well as access to a safe.
The suspects reportedly took around 150,000 baht in cash and three Rolex watches.
Police said the victim was also forced to transfer cryptocurrency from his digital wallet to another wallet controlled by the suspects.
The cryptocurrency was subsequently sold, with the transferred assets valued at approximately US$820,000, or around 27 million baht.
Together with the cash and watches, the initial estimated loss was nearly 30 million baht.
Police investigate possible Chinese suspects
Investigators have developed leads concerning three suspects who may be Chinese nationals, but police stressed that their identities and nationalities have not yet been confirmed.
Authorities are continuing to gather evidence and are awaiting further information from the victim.
Police Region 2 Commissioner Police Lieutenant General Wasan Techa-akrakesom visited the scene at around 3:30pm, accompanied by Chon Buri provincial police chief Police Major General Chatree Suksiri and Region 2 investigation chief Police Major General Kiatthisak Srathongoey.
Immigration Bureau officers and forensic police have been brought into the investigation.
Forensic teams have examined the property and collected evidence, while immigration authorities are checking records of people suspected of entering and leaving Thailand.

Lt Gen Wasan said investigators had made significant progress despite the robbery occurring only hours earlier, citing information provided by immigration officials and evidence collected at the scene.
Provincial Police Region 2 said officers were accelerating the investigation and evidence-gathering process in an effort to identify and bring the three alleged offenders to justice.
The suspects’ identities, nationality and whereabouts have not yet been confirmed.
