Russian Navy Training Ship Perekop to Dock in Sihanoukville for Two-Day Visit
SIHANOUKVILLE, Sept. 11, 2026 — The Russian Navy’s Perekop training ship, operated by the Baltic Fleet, is scheduled to make a two-day port call at the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port on September 11–12, marking its second visit to Cambodia.
The ship is scheduled to arrive at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 11, according to information from the Russian Embassy in Cambodia.
The visit will be an unofficial port call, with representatives of the Royal Cambodian Navy expected to welcome the vessel at the pier. Russian Ambassador to Cambodia Anatoly Borovik is also scheduled to attend the welcoming ceremony.
During the visit, the Perekop’s command is scheduled to pay protocol visits to Cambodian civilian and military officials, while Russian sailors and cadets will visit tourist attractions in Sihanoukville and Phnom Penh.
Russian naval personnel are also scheduled to play a football match with their Cambodian counterparts.
Members of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, as well as teachers and students from the Russian Embassy School, will have an opportunity to tour the Russian training vessel.
The Perekop last visited Sihanoukville in November 2019. Following a farewell ceremony on September 12, the vessel is scheduled to depart Cambodia.
The visit is expected to provide an opportunity for continued naval-to-naval engagement, professional exchanges and military cooperation between Cambodia and Russia.
