British Man Stabbed by Transgender Woman Over Suspected Meth
PATTAYA, Sept. 29, 2026 — A 39-year-old British man was seriously injured in a sword attack inside a Pattaya apartment following an alleged dispute over crystal methamphetamine, with police also finding about 100 grammes of suspected meth inside the room.
The incident occurred around midday on Sept. 28 at an apartment in Soi Khao Talo, Nong Prue, Bang Lamung district, Chon Buri province. Police responding to a report of an assault found a 22-year-old transgender woman, identified as Anothai, outside the building with injuries to her left hand and fingers. A long sword was found nearby and seized for examination.
Officers then entered Room 502, where they found the British tenant, identified as Scott, suffering from several sharp-force injuries. He had wounds to his left shoulder and right arm and a serious stab wound to the abdomen above the left side of his waist.
Rescue workers provided first aid before taking him to Bangkok Hospital Pattaya.
Inside the room, investigators found blood on the floor and belongings scattered around, indicating signs of a struggle. Police also discovered approximately 100 grammes of suspected crystal methamphetamine, some packaged in ziplock bags inside a black bag and some scattered on the bed.
Suspected drug-use equipment, including a syringe, was also seized for examination. Police have not yet established who owned the suspected drugs.
Anothai told police that she was in a relationship with Scott and alleged that he became paranoid before the incident, accusing her of stealing crystal methamphetamine.
According to her account, Scott searched her body for the drugs and forced her to shower and wash her hair because he suspected she had hidden the substance in her hair. She said that after she complied, he continued shouting, detained her and assaulted her.
Anothai said a fight then broke out and that she grabbed the sword and slashed and stabbed Scott before fleeing downstairs to seek help from nearby residents.
Police have not confirmed her account. Investigators are reviewing CCTV footage and examining physical evidence from the room to establish what happened and determine whether the attack was preceded by an assault or another confrontation.
Both injured people were placed under police supervision for further legal proceedings. Investigators plan to conduct detailed questioning once doctors determine they are medically fit to be interviewed.
Police are also testing the suspected methamphetamine and investigating its ownership before deciding what charges, if any, should be brought.
The incident adds to a series of recent violent and drug-related cases reported in Pattaya. Just days earlier, Thai authorities arrested an American man after discovering what police described as a concealed drug-mixing laboratory in a Nong Prue property, where suspected narcotics and drug-production equipment were seized.
