Yunnan, 29 December 2025 — Foreign Ministers and senior military officials of China, Cambodia, and Thailand convened a high-level trilateral meeting at Fuxian Lake, Yunnan Province, reaffirming their commitment to fully implement and consolidate the ceasefire between Cambodia and Thailand.

China welcomed the Joint Statement of the 3rd Special General Border Committee (GBC) Meeting, signed on 27 December 2025, stressing that it serves the fundamental and long-term interests of both countries and sends a strong positive signal for regional peace and stability.

The three sides agreed that consolidating the ceasefire is the immediate priority, while working step by step to resume normal exchanges, rebuild political mutual trust, and improve Cambodia–Thailand bilateral relations. China pledged continued support for humanitarian demining, humanitarian assistance for displaced populations, and the effective functioning of the ASEAN Observer Team (AOT).

Cambodia and Thailand reaffirmed their commitment to resolving disputes peacefully, in accordance with international law, the UN Charter, the ASEAN Charter, and the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia. China reiterated its readiness to play a constructive role in facilitating dialogue and advancing lasting peace and regional stability.
