Jakarta, 6 January 2026 — The ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) has officially extended a warm welcome to H.E. Dr. Chem Widya upon his assumption of office as the 7th Secretary-General of AIPA, reaffirming its strong commitment to advancing parliamentary diplomacy within the ASEAN region.

In a statement published on AIPA’s official communication channels, the Assembly expressed confidence in Dr. Chem Widya’s leadership and underscored its readiness to work closely with him to further strengthen inter-parliamentary cooperation among ASEAN Member States.
