Phnom Penh, 8 January 2026 — The Royal Government of Cambodia, through the National Committee for Disaster Management (NCDM), expressed its deepest appreciation to the Government of the People’s Republic of China for providing humanitarian assistance to support displaced civilians along the border areas.

Led by Senior Minister H.E. Kun Kim, First Vice President of the NCDM, the Committee confirmed that China’s second tranche of humanitarian aid is being arranged for delivery to Cambodia and will be promptly distributed to affected provinces through designated safety centers.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Cambodian authorities continue to closely monitor the situation and instruct all relevant ministries and local administrations to prioritize the safety, welfare, and lives of displaced citizens, ensuring timely protection and assistance.

The NCDM noted that China previously delivered its first humanitarian assistance on 28 December 2025, and has now committed a second humanitarian package valued at RMB 20 million (approximately USD 2.8 million), reaffirming the ironclad friendship between Cambodia and China and China’s continued support for Cambodia’s stability, recovery, and long-term development.
