Phnom Penh, Jan. 12, 2026 — The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) announced that a total of 630 investment projects, with a combined capital value of approximately USD 10 billion, were officially registered in 2025, marking a new national investment milestone.

According to the statement published on the CDC’s official Facebook page on January 5, the Cambodia Investment Board (CIB) registered the projects with an estimated capacity to generate around 438,000 jobs nationwide.

Of the total projects approved, 387 projects are located outside Special Economic Zones (SEZs), while 243 projects are situated within SEZs, reflecting balanced investment growth across the country.

Notably, the number of registered investment projects increased by 216 projects, representing a 52 percent rise, while total investment capital grew by approximately USD 3 billion, or 45 percent, compared to the same period in 2024. In that year, the CDC registered 414 projects with a total investment value of about USD 6.9 billion.

The CDC underscored that this achievement constitutes another historic record, following a previous record set in 2024, highlighting Cambodia’s continued attractiveness as a regional investment destination and sustained investor confidence in the country’s economic fundamentals and development trajectory.
