PHNOM PENH, Feb. 3, 2026 — Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and President of the Laos, will pay a state visit to Cambodia from Feb. 6–7, Cambodia’s foreign ministry said on Tuesday.

The visit is at the invitation of Norodom Sihamoni, who will grant a royal audience and host a state banquet in honour of the Lao leader at the Royal Palace.

During the visit, Thongloun will lay wreaths at the Independence Monument and the Royal Memorial of the late King-Father Norodom Sihanouk, officials said. He is also scheduled to hold high-level talks with Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Senate.

Cambodian authorities said the visit is expected to further strengthen ties between Cambodia and Laos, reinforcing their comprehensive and long-lasting strategic partnership and cooperation for development and prosperity.
