France Extends Recovery Wishes to King Norodom Sihamoni
PHNOM PENH, April 12, 2026 — The French Embassy in Cambodia has extended its wishes for a swift recovery to Cambodia’s King Norodom Sihamoni, in a message issued ahead of the Khmer New Year celebrations.
In a statement, the embassy conveyed its “most sincere wishes” for the monarch’s good health and rapid recovery, while also expressing hopes for happiness, longevity and well-being for both the king and the Cambodian people.
The message comes as Cambodia prepares to celebrate its traditional New Year, one of the country’s most important national holidays.
France and Cambodia share longstanding diplomatic ties, with cooperation spanning culture, heritage, and development.
The embassy’s message reflects continued goodwill between the two countries, as well as broader international support for the Cambodian monarchy during the festive period.
